People Delivering the Future

FAQ's

Some of the common questions we receive from our contractors are:

I am being paid a daily rate, what is a day?

This would depend on the individual assignment, as a rule a professional working day is the amount of time it takes to successfully complete your role, normally up to ten hours. Please speak to your consultant to confirm this.

Why do I have to be paid monthly?

This enables the Payroll Department at GVJ&A to effectively manage the payroll and administration of a large number of contract employees. It provides us with the opportunity to identify errors and chase missing timesheets with enough time to ensure that the contractor is paid efficiently.

The end of the month falls on a Tuesday will I get paid for the previous week?

No. We can only pay for approved timesheets we have received one week prior to month end.

I have approved expenses, when will I be paid them?

We will only pay expenses that have been approved by the client; we also need a hard copy from the contractor before payment can be processed. Expenses will then be paid on the fifteenth of the month or the month end.

I want an increase in rate, who do I speak to?

In all cases the first point of contact is GVJ&A.

My contract is due to expire, what happens next?

A GVJ&A representative will be in contact with both the contractor and the client to discover if an extension is likely to happen.

If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to call your consultant.
